Love Animal Precinct. Our TV is always on Animal Planet when you turn it on. My roommate Brenda and I talk about the shows all the time. I would really love to meet Officer AnneMarie Lucas, there's just something about that woman, I have nothing but a world of respect for her. Top that with the fact that we are animal nuts around here (three cats, a hamster, a rat, and about half a dozen fish...soon to add another kittie, and possibly a dog later in the year), dear Mike has the perfect voice for the show.

Aside from the fact he narrates that particular show, I like the no nonsense approach these agents have towards their job. I've watched the other versions and their officers are so sympathetic to even the meanest pet owners I want to strangle them. Every so often they get tough, but usually they try and bargain with the people and sometimes, well, most of the time, that just isn't appropriate given the circumstance in which they are out to visit.
Anne Marie Lucas is really cool and you can tell she takes her job seriously, has a deep love for animals, and isn't afraid to kick some butt if necessary. JoAnn Sandano isn't too bad either I just think she needs to re-evaluate that too-tight ponytail. Looks painful sometimes.

Yeah....I have actually seen her with it down a few times...looks much better. I have a deep respect for all of the agents, especially the undercover boys. We don't have anything like that in my town...and I really wish we did. We have an animal rescue center that is privately owned, and then the state run animal shelter...which is essentially nothing more than death row. On a side note....the new kitty that may (crosses fingers) be coming home with me in about a month (he's two weeks old right now) is a gorgeous little black striped male who will be dubbed......Madsen.

The show is great but it just breaks my heart to watch it b/c of the way the animals are treated. I'm such an animal lover, I'm always bringing home strays (mostly cats) b/c I can't stand the thought of what might happen to them. (one of my cats is trying to help me type at this very moment... ;D) But I live in the country & have lots of space for all the little critters to run around in so it's all good.

Yea...it really sucks seeing the way some people treat animals, you feel like "why the heck would they give a person an animal at all"
