So I've been reading it & I LOVE it!! Wow, very hard to put down. I spent my whole lunch hour yesterday sitting it the car w/my shoes kicked off & the seat all the way back. I was in a zone.
I have to be honest, I am not a big leisure reader (mostly due to a time constraint). The only other books I have read front to back (as an adult) are The Dirt (The Crue book, it's every Moyley fan's bible), Tommyland & The DaVinci Code. With other books I try to read, I get started but can never quite finish.

The Dirt (The Crue book, it's every Moyley fan's bible), eww, I've read that...great stuff! Still haven't made it all the way through Michael's yet though. I just read it in bits & pieces though.

Michael on other interests such as poetry.
I basically started doing poetry because I had a lot of time on my hands. You know I was divorced. When you are in this industry, you spend an awful lot of time alone in motels and trains and airplanes. Strange places and you tend to look around you spending a lot of time noticing a lot of people and things people do and I started writing it down. I started jotting things down. I wasn't much of a reader but I liked Ernest Hemingway and John Steinbeck. I read a couple of biographies of Spencer Tracy, Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster and I really just started writing stuff. I would think of stuff and I would write it on a matchbook, napkin,or a paper bag. I wrote on my leg in the back of a taxi cab in New York 'cause I didn't have a piece of paper. When you think of somethink, you write it down or you're gonna forget it. Then I started writing down dreams. I had a paper and pen next to my bed and in the morning when I would wake up I would write down dreams that I had because they were really bizarre. It was just something I was doing. I briefly moved to Santa Fe,New Mexico with the woman who later became my wife. I had all this stuff.I moved from L.A. because I was leaving Hollywood and the movie business. I had a box that had all the stuff that I had written in it. I was gonna build a fire. It was snowing outside and all the wood was wet. I had this box and was going to light it up and my wife, DeAnna grabbed it and she took a few pages and read them and told me I really shouldn't burn them. So,I got the idea of giving it to a publisher in New York.

I agree with you. I use to write poetry and stories but just out of the blue I dried up. I was once told in my twenties, at a Mediums Convention that I was going to write a best seller. Well,I'd better hurry up or I'll be writing it from the outer Galaxy.

Dennis Hopper whose a cool cat got Michael interested in photography. Michael loved his pictures, because he takes pictures of things that no one else would take a picture of and he kind of got the idea to do the same thing. All of a sudden, (photographer) Rosalie Miller came along and sent Michael a camara and it was bizarre-it was as weird as Oliver Assayas calling Michael to make a movie. Michael was very flattered took advantage and tried to do a good job. It was a good thing as the money from Michael's book of photographs went to charity.

I'm glad you got my replies. I'm becoming more muddled as time goes by. Mind you I've a lot on my mind at the moment.

I used to write some poetry & short stories, but it's been years since I've written anything. I guess the inspiration just hasn't come to me lately.

At one stage I use to write a lot, short stories and poetry but not anymore. I don't seem to be inspired anymore. I'm waiting to right the best seller it was predicted I would do. Well, the inspiration better come back soon or I'll be writing from the outer galaxy.

What with books and DVDs of Michaels,I'll need more storage space. Do you get Google alerts? If so,did you see the one about Michael being interviewed by TMZ? (I may have the initials wrong) I tried to download it with no luck. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. It looked interesting and I just wanted to know what Michael responses were. Poor man being hounded, must 've been embarrassing for him.

I don't know, I thought he said in a recent interview (can't remember which one) that he WAS going to do another poetry book sometime in the future. Fingers crossed!
