I FINALLY got to see an episode of Rescue Me and I have to say I'm upset that I hadn't seen it sooner. This show is great and I totally understand the nominations. They really push the boundaries of whats ok on tv - cable show or not - I was surprised at some of the things they showed. Awesome show, now I'm a total fan.

I'm glad you finally got to see it!! It's the best new show on right now IMO.

Everytime I catch this show I am amazed at how good it is and how much crap they get away with on this show. Really entertaining and except for the commercials it makes you feel like you've got a pay channel when you really don't. It's the kind of stuff you see on HBO.

I agree!! It's an awesome show & def. worthy of some Emmy nom's! Plus it was a good filler while I'm waiting for the new seasons of The Sopranos & The Shield!
And I also am constantly suprised at what shows can get away with these days too. I mean, I'm all for freedom of expression & against censorship, as long as kids don't have access to it, which is the parents responsibility first & foremost, but I'm still suprised that the MPAA hasn't come down harder on some of these shows.

Totally true about kids and what they see. It never ceases to anger me when a parent comes gets on the news and slams a particular show because of the content. Usually that show is on primetime and now with the ratings I find myself watching these reports and upset parents with my blood beginning to boil. If parents don't want their kids watching it, put them to bed at a decent time. I mean it's not like they try to slide these shows on air around 6 pm or something. Heck half the time I have a hard time staying up late enough to catch them.

I've really been meaning to start watching this show, but alas, as far as I am behind on it now, the only sensible way now will either be to find a DVD of the first few seasons or get them from some torrent site.

OH man, you should definately watch it! It's one of my absolute favorites, behind The Sopranos. But you probably should watch it from the beginning b/c a lot has happened that would be pretty confusing for someone who's never watched it. The first 3 seasons are out on DVD, so if you're a member of Netflix or something like that I highly recommend getting the dvd's! Denis Leary was just nominated (again, I think for the second time?) for Best Actor in a Drama.

Love this show, I have to agree that's it's one of the best shows. I don't have cable, so I get them through Netflix, but I am always 1 season behind.

"Rescue Me" is one of my favorites including "The Sopranos" which are on TV at the moment. I think it's the third season of "Rescue Me' and the last of "The Sopranos"

Rescue Me is just about my favorite show, along with The Shield. Sixx, this season so far has been pretty good, crazy stuff happening! So you have something to look forward to. Yeah, this was the last season for the Sopranos, it ended here a couple of months ago. I have to say I was kinda disappointed with the ending, but I can understand why they ended that way.
