Michael's recipe from the PETA Celebrity Cookbook:
Exotic Orange Curry
2 raw potatoes 3 carrots 1/2 red bell pepper 2 tbsp. curry powder or equal parts cumin, coriander, dill weed, turmeric, and black mustard seed. 1 tbsp. dried orange peel pinch of red pepper flakes pinch of sugar pinch of salt 2 garlic cloves 2 tbsp. grated fresh ginger olive oil 2 cups uncooked couscous 2 cups boiling water mango chutney toasted pumpkin seeds dried pineapple olive oil for sauteing
-----
Slice the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Saute 2/3 of the spices with the garlic and ginger in a small amount of olive oil. Add sliced vegetables and enough water to cook in but not enough to cover them. Simmer until tender. Add more spices, to taste, if desired. In a seperate pot, boil the water and soak the couscous in the boiling water, covered, until all the water is absorbed, about 10 minutes. Ladle the vegetable mixture over the couscous, then top with the chutney, pineapple, and pumpkin seeds.

Icebox you find the most interesting stuff That actually sounds quite good and I might try it sometime when I'm cooking for myself. (My family would never go for anything with chutney in it. Except for my older daughter everybody else has fairly bland taste - pretty normal.)

YUCK! I hate vegetables. and most fruit for that matter. lol. dunno how people eat that stuff. tsnMMfan, you must be from up north, huh? cause no one has bland taste here in the south.

Nope, Tucson native and I love spicy foods. However, my husband is from Florida origninally and for some reason he's got real plain or as you put it bland taste.
I'm more of a gourmet who'll try anything especially if it's got a lot of heat in it. ;D

I like all sorts of food, but that recipe doesn't spike my interest at all, lol. And I don't like curry either, but my friend loves it.

Doesn't suprise me the Mike is a veggie. We are for the most part in my household. We eat some turkey or chicken from time to time, red meat never passes through our door though. It's too expensive, and the downsides way outweigh the benefits. If I need iron I'll take a supliment or eat spinach thanks.
Maybe we should start a recipe section? Share both vegetarian, and meat eater recipes with one another.
