I miss ECW, that was my favorite wrestling promotion from about 94 up to 2001 when they were finally forced out of business by the big two...
anyway onto the meat of my post, I just bought recently the crystal lake to manhatton paramount friday the 13th dvd box set, featuring all of the 1st 8 jason movies! I am so ready for halloween now, I already own Jason X and Freddy vs Jason, just waiting to find jason goes to hell somewhere then it's MARATHON TIME!!
as for my reveiw the extras were sparce but was there was nice, I don't much care for the way they put 2 movies to every disc and then all the special features on another "bonus" disc, it would have been nicer to leave the trailers and the little feature they did on each movie on the discs with the movies themselves, then they could have delivered a real decked out bouns disc full of interesting tidbits.. and when, when by god are we ever gonna get to see the uncut version of part 7? damn the MPAA for what they did to that movie it was atrocious in every sense of the word.
but anyway, tonight I think I'll throw on some popcorn and watch old hockey puss hack up a few horny campers and have myself nice night

Man, just reading that post put me in the Halloween mood. ;D Well, I guess since I'm too old for trick-or-treating & tp'ing people's houses I'll drag out my movies & have a good ol' horror movie fest on Halloween night.

It's not that you're too old, it's that the punishment is much more severe than it was before you hit legal age.

Speaking of Mr Travolta, I recently aquired a vhs copy of an old movie of his called phenomena or however it is spelled, great great moving piece of cinema, I won't spoil it for any of you who haven't seen it, but if you're looking to see him in a traditional (kinda) dramatic role with no dancing or getting shot then this is the flick for you. also it is another one of my all time favorite actors in Robert Duvall Playing the town Doctor, and I can watch anything with Robert Duvall in it.
Picked up Open Range as well which Duvall has a starring role in, was pleasently suprised by how much I liked it, this might belong in the what role would you liek to cast micheal in but I think he could have added to the movie a great deal if they would have built the gunfighters character that kevin kills ( not a spoiler really since they gave it away in the friggin trailer) up a little more and gave it to big mike, since he plays such an awesome bad guy. would've bumped this from a 3 star all the way to maybe a 4 or fiver for me.

Phenomenon was an excellent flick and so was Open Range. Dude, that is totally true about Michael being in that with Robert Duvall. And I have to agree about Duvall, I can watch anything with him in it and know it'll be good. Kindof like Gene Hackman or Morgan Freeman. Their style of acting is just so good it can bring even the most horrible movie back from the depths of hell.
My fave Duvall flick has always been and always will be Days of Thunder. He played such an awesome role in that one.

Yeah, he's one of those actors who could read bumper stickers and have you rolling. Somewhat like James Earl Jones. Spectacular acting and performances always.
