Well...my friend and I did a double feature yesterday. I have to say that I was quite impressed with both films. 'Kingdom' has some of my favorite actors (Orlando, Liam, Marton), the story was staggering, the film gorgeous and lush beyond words.....a MUST see in my book. Ridley Scott has outdone himself by leaps and bounds.
As for 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy', it was hilarious. I'm a fan of the books, and they captured the essence of them very well....the cast was very well chosen (Zephod Beeblebrox was played perfectly), and the approach of the film was just what I had hoped. My only problem with it was the fact that it was pretty much the BBC screenplay bit for bit. Not neccessarily a bad thing, but I had hoped they would have reworked it just a bit.
Both films however were worth the money spent, so I would reccomend them to anyone. I plan on seeing 'Kingdom of Heaven' again
