I think the best musicians is Michael FLEA Balzary from Red Hot Chili Peppers!, He`s fantastic! The way he play, the way he move on the stage, the emocions from him aaah ;D

My votes would be for Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam and Bono from U2. They're both excellent musicians and have such a wonderful stage presence. They also happen to be the singers from my fave two bands.  I'll most def. be adding to this list though. |

Best Living Guitar Player - Eric Clapton
Best Living Singer - hmm.. way too many to choose just one
Best Living Songwriter - Tie between Dylan & Springsteen
Best Living Saxophonist - Clarence Clemons ( from the E- street band)
Best Keyboardist/Pianist - I've always been a big Elton John fan so I'll go with him, although I like David Sancious's early work ( he was also a former E street band member)
Although that's just my favorites, I'm not actually going out and saying they are the BEST in the entire world, just the best I have heard. (that's not dead anyway)

Guitarist: Jimmy Page...hands down...sorry Dude, I love Eric, but....Jimmy all the way.
Bassist: Sting
Vocalist: Hrmmm......well...for sheer dynamic and range I would have to say Andrea Boccelli, for soulfulness though...wihtout a doubt Aretha Franklin
Songwriter: If we are going based simply on lyrics...Bernie Taupin (Elton John's lyric man)...all around however for me is Sting.
Drummer: Since we have to go for NOT DEAD (otherwise would be John Bonham)....Just simply for sheer tanacity in my opinion....Rick Allen of Def Leppard.
Pianist/Keyboardist: I have three in this catagory #1) Elton John....the king..er queen...of the ivories. 2) Tori Amos 3) Bruce Hornsby
