i think that tom sizemore is like a crappy madson. every time i watch a movie with him i think michael would have been 10 times better. one example: det seymour skagnetti{natural born killers} michael would have killed in that role.

Ok, I was thrown for a loop on that one and really questioned my Dogs knowledge and Natural Born Killers smarts. Seymour Skagnetti was Mr. Blonde's probation officer and Jack Scagnetti was the detective from Natural Born Killers. In any event, now that my brain isn't trying to overload (crap like that does it to me because I'm so trivial) I totally agree. Tom Sizemore is a bigtime wannabe Michael Madsen as far as I'm concerned. And I have to say, considering all the heat he's getting legally, not impressed with him as a person either.

I can't even begin to count the times that that Sizemore has been compared to Michael...some people even get the two mixed up. I like Sizemore as an actor, but on a personal level he leaves a lot to be desired & I don't think he can hold a candle to Michael!

I may have the wrong flick here but I there's this movie I saw that had siezemore in it called witness protection or something like that, were this reformed mobster takes his family into the program.. I found the movie altogether pretty boring but I thought to myself micheal madsen would have been so much better in that role than siezemore I have nothing against the man but in that movie I think mike could have done wonders..
also there's a mel gibson movie from a few years ago called payback, where mel basiclly plays a street thug dirty harry rip off, it's a pretty good little flick. I was racking my brain for movies mike would have been good for and I think I may have found the perfect role. I forgot the guys name in the flick but he's supposed to be this super badass out for revenge, anyone who's seen the movie more recently than I would have a better understanding.. and more importantly nobody plays bad like mike nobody.. not since lee marvin and clinteastwood anyway

I was thinking about this last night and I think Michael wouldv'e been good in "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" maybe it's just me but I think Michael looks more like Robin Hood than Kevin Costner. And Michael wouldv'e been good as Batman too. Val Kilmer was horrible but I think Michael wouldv'e been as good as Michael Keaton was in the original (because lets face it-Keaton played the best Batman of all the other actors who played Batman in the other movies)

michael is a great actor but lets not get to carried away. im a huge severely dedicated fan of his, theres no doubt about that but really there are just some parts michael would not be good in. now dont get me wrong, im sure he could play any character but some characters are just not him.

i have heard the name before but who is tom sizemore? give me an example of a movie hes in. He was in Witness Protection like Dude said. He was also in The Florentine w/ Michael. I think the first thing I remember seein him in was Heat. Um, Pearl Harbor, Natural Born Killers, True Romance, Red Planet, the list is enormous. Here's a link to his page on imdb that lists all his movies: www.imdb.com/name/nm0001744/He's currently starring as Pete Rose in the TV movie 'Hustle'.

and more importantly nobody plays bad like mike nobody.. not since lee marvin and clinteastwood anyway I agree. I know it's bad, esp. for us fans, to stereotype & catagorize Michael in only 'bad-ass' roles, but I mean, he was born to play those types of roles & I think that's what he's best at. That's not to say that I wouldn't love to see him in more 'good guy' roles such as in Free Willy but he really shines in the tough guy roles.

very true madsen girl, I don't wanna see anyone get pigeon holed either,as it takes away from the overall possibilities of the story's you can tell. but when casting for a part most times you think of who would fit in here the most naturally... but I don't think we have to worry about mike getting typecast for a while. he's shown he can play a great father figure in the past and some solid dramatic work. plus there's the cool factor to be considered.... he's not just a big menacing lookin oaf ya know the guy just oozes machismo as one of my favorite wrestlers used to say

the guy just oozes machismo as one of my favorite wrestlers used to say Hey, wow, another wrestling fan Although, at the moment, I can't think of who used to say that. And you're welcome for the link Aradia, that's what I'm here for! I'm really looking forward to seeing Michael in a horror/supernatural genre movie i.e. 'Bloodrayne'. B/c unless I'm just having a brain spazz at the moment I can't think of any movies of that genre that he's done, aside from 'Species which was sci-fi. 'Vampire's Anonymous' really doesn't count b/c from what I gather it was more of a comedy. I'm sure if I'm missing something one of ya'll will let me know!
