I saw this discussion on the Madsen board over at IMDB & thought the topic was pretty interesting so I decided to bring it over here. If you could cast Michael in any movie that has already been made what role would you put him in? I would also add, what real life person living or dead do you think Michael would be perfect to play? Here are some suggestions from the IMDB board of roles that have already been done, that I happen to agree with: "Dean Keaton"-The Usual Suspects (originally played by Gabriel Byrne) "Sheriff Earl McGraw"-From Dusk Til Dawn, Kill Bill (orignally played by Michael Parks) I for one have always thought that the Michael's could be interchangable in this role. They both have the same laid-back acting style that makes both of them perfect for the part. "Father Damien Karras"-The Exorcist (originally played by Jason Miller) It would be weird to see Michael play a priest, but I could see him in this role. It would def. be a change for him. And the obvious one is Vincent Vega in PF, since QT originally wanted him for the role. BUT on the other hand if that happened there wouldn't be The Vega Bros. and no chance for expanding their story, which I think QT could run wild with. I could also see him playing any Clint Eastwood Dirty Harry role. Once again they have the same laid-back style, gruff demeanor, look, attitude and Michael certainly has that Dirty Harry-like voice that we love so much! And I think he could do any of Clint's western roles such as The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, High Plains Drifter, etc. He could really do any western role, as he has many times, he's got the look, the attitude & from what I've read he loves westerns anyway. So those are my thoughts, anyone else have any ideas? Oh yeah, since I stole this topic from the other board ;D here's the link to the discussion on IMBD so you can check out what other people suggested & add your own input over there too. Maybe we can get some cross-over action going between the two boards. italy.imdb.com/name/nm0000514/board/thread/4642444

I would have LOVED to see Michael as Dean Keaton. "The Usual Suspects" is one of my favorite movies of all time and putting Michael in that alongside Benicio Del Toro, Stephen Baldwin, and Kevin Spacey would have been magic.
As for other movie roles...
Billy Chambers in "Once Upon A Time In Mexico" - played by Mickey Rourke. I can't completely see Michael taking this role, but then again, I think he would have done a much better job than Mickey.
I can definitely see Michael in "The Green Mile", but not with anyone else's role because Tom Hanks, David Morse, and Barry Pepper were amazing. But Michael should have been in there somewhere. LoL.

Yeah, 'Usual Suspects' is one of my faves too & I'd never really thought about Michael in that role (Keaton) until somebody mentioned it. But then I thought yeah, he would've been great in that role! I could also see him in Chazz Palmenteri's role, the cop, can't think of the character's name right now. Michael could've brought the same intensity to the role. Not that don't think Chazz did a good job, but I could see Michael doing it. I can kinda see Michael in the Billy Chambers role in OUATIM...he probably would've brought some more edge to it. I don't know about the Green Mile thing. lol We could probably come up w/ something though. But then again we could come up w/ a role for Michael in every movie we've ever seen!

Yeah, it seems to be easy to just toss Michael into anything and he'd make a great role. I mean, we could prolly throw him "Spice World" and he'd be great, lol.

Now, this isn't a movie role, but I vote for a reoccuring role on the Sopranos. He talked about that on one of the interviews he did on Sharon Osbourne. I for one vote him in. I think a character who's purpose is like that of Furio would be great.

Oh grr... that makes me so angry. I only got to see, like, three or four episodes of the very first season, which I loved, and then we stopped getting HBO.
But I do agree, I think Michael would be great on that show... as long as he doesn't do it until I'm able to get HBO back, lol.

Yeah, I saw him on Sharon when he was talking about that. I think he would be great on The Sopranos, he would fit right in. He might not be Italian but he could def. throw the attitude around w/ the best of them.

I would love to see michael in theathre (sorry, i'm not sure of this spelling:) ). Not only becouse i would LOVE to see him live, but most of all becouse there is something amazing in the actor's face when he takes part in live performence. I love going to theathre. The actor has a great opportunity to make you feel what he wants you to feel, and this is a great experience. Does michale ever work in thethre? ps:it is funny to write to you while you all are sleeping:) I'm at work, it's eleven o'clock (am) in Poland, i hope you all have sweet dreams:) have a really nice day, whatever you plan to do:)

I don't think I've read anywhere where Michael does theatre. I think his presence & voice would translate really well in live performance.

i would like to see michael in more fatherly roles. funny thing is that im watching the movie, " teh usual suspects" right now. i thought michael should had had a part in the matrix. cause i remember watching the first movie and seeing this one part and thinking, michael could play that part really well. however, i greatly dislike the matrix and refuse to watch the other 2. and michael actually did some time in the stepponwolf theatre before he got into the movies.

I didn't have any problem with the Matrix until every other frickin movie that had any type of a fight sequence in it did a spoof off that movie . LAME! I'm sick of seeing it so I wish they would stop. AradiaMMFan, I'm totally with you on that one, let's boycott it!

i'd like to see michael host SNL. or just do more comedy in general.
i also wish he was in that firefighting movie that's going to come out soon, instead of john travolta, i think he'd be really good in it.

Yeah, he would be cool in that movie. I have nothing against Travolta, but Michael would be great.

If someone ever makes a movie about Elvis, whether it be about his life or career, Michael would be a perfect canidate for the part of Elvis. If you notice in RD when he smiles, the left side of his upper lip goes up towards his nose slightly. Plus he's got the jet black hair gorgeous blue eyes and that cool suave attitude. He'd make a great Elvis. And I think he shouldv'e played King Arthur in "Arthur"(spll?). The actor who plaed that role was good but a little cheesy. I think michael would've been a better choice. I wouldve also like to have seen him in The Mighty Ducks as Coach Bombay..I think that would've been very cute to watch him wrestle with all those kids..LOL..and to see him in a hockey uniform (yummy)
