Ok, well to further confirm my continuing quest for lameness let me just say I'm still a big fan of the big hair 80's bands. Now, for the cooler side of my cd case I like
Matchbox 20 Sheryl Crow Hoobastank (my daughter turned me on to them) Fountains of Wayne (again my daughter)
That's about all I can think of for now. Overall I'll listen to just about anything short of country music and gospel. (shudder)

Do "Fountains of Wayne" have any other good songs besides "Stacey's Mom"?

Matchbox 20 is amazing! Loved them from the beginning! Ok, so you're not the only lame one bc I'm still a fan of 80's big hair bands too! But hey, we're children of the 80's so I guess we really didn't have a chance! lol I still listen to it, b/c let's face it, 80's big hair is still a lot better than some of the stuff they play today! As far as Fountains of Wayne, 'Stacey's Mom' is the only one I've heard by them. I like the song but it's getting worn out b/c they play it so much.

It's a funny thing about Fountains of Wayne. They have a few other good songs, but I went and saw them and Matchbox 20 a few months back. It was hilarious while they were playing because everyone was waiting for that song to come on. During their whole set and up until that song came on people were going back and forth getting drinks and stuff not really paying attention. As soon as that song came on (and it was the last one) everyone paid attention, sang along and then their set was over. It was too bad for them because they do have some other good stuff but it hasn't received much if any airplay so nobody recognized the songs. Great concert I might add, Matchbox 20 was phenomenal!

Yeah, well - you can't blame them for saving that until the end. When you have just one hit out there, and you're playing either before or after a band like Matchbox twenty that has about a million, it's hard.
I do love Matchbox twenty, though. Not sure I can go with you on the 80's music... but I found a Pat Benatar/Blondie CD the other day. Not bad.

I saw Matchbox 20 a few years ago at Rockfest in Dallas. They were awesome! I really wanna see them in a 'real' concert where we can actually see the stage!

I could never really get into Matchbox 20. I love Rob Thomas and his voice, but I just couldn't get into the band. My mom loves em though.
Top five bands; 1. Motley Crue 2. The Doors 3. Def Leppard 4. The Cure 5. Evanescence

I have so many favorite bands. Match box 20 is defenitly on the list and fuel. But i love classic rock, queen, meatloaf and pink floyd. I listen to a lot of country as well. lots of favorites. could never put them in a top 5 list.
