Amazon is now taking orders for Michael's new book of poems due out sometime in June. In their book description section, it says this is a special edition of six books in one including new selections from "When Pets Kill". But it only has 480 pages.
The last most recent of his books, "Burning in Paradise" "46 Down" and "Blessing of the Hounds" together make up 465 pages. This special edition is also supposed to include "Eat the Worm" and "Beer, Blood and Ashes" as well as 50+ photos.
Does this mean not all of his poems from all his books are going to be in the 10th Anniversay Special Edition?

As far as I know, all the poems were supposed to be included, but I could be wrong.

The first thing to note is that Amazon is rarely ever correct in their item descriptions. Take my book for example where they've listed it as having 204 pages when it actually has almost a hundred less - 118 (a novella size). My guess is that they've condensed this and possibly omitted a lot of the filler stuff that books have. I mean, small enough and you could fit two to three poems per page with an occasional graphic or photo.
I would also assume that everything has been condensed because there is a stigma in the publishing world about books that top five hundred or more pages. Unless your Stephen King, Anne Rice, Dean Koontz or another author of that caliber, you'll probably get more rejection than anything else trying to sell a book that size. In theory as in sales reports, people are hesitant to buy a book of that size - it's itimidating to some. I'll be curious to see about all this when I get my copy.

Still havent' received my copy of the book from Amazon. The last update they sent was that it might be as late as September before it's shipped. The Tilt dvd will be on my Christmas list so I have a few more months before I'll be able to enjoy it again.

Yeah, Amazon has a lot of good stuff...but I'm REALLY getting annoyed at how long it's taking to get the new book.

Yes the book is taking along time. According to Paulette whose husband made some more inquires, they hadn't banked on so many orders and only did a small run I believe that has now been rectified. Received the news last night. Nove.
