When I read this news I got so excited but I am not counting my chickens before they hatch as they say. I felt the same way about Hawaii recently and Michael walked out on the day before shooting so will be waiting with baited breath. But actually Michael walking out on Hawaii may have been a blessing in disguise as that series was just recently cancelled. So if he had done that one maybe this one wouldn't have come up and it does sound more promising as the people involved sound more talented. Let's wait and see.

Maybe this one will be as good as the other original ESPN series "Playmakers". Unfortunately, that one only ran for one season.

You are right Playmakers did only run for one season but that wasn't because it wasn't a success in fact it was it had really good ratings. But unfortunately it upset the NFL as it was very critical and showed the players in a very bad light so it was cancelled.

isnt espn a sports channel? i hate sports Yes, it is a sports channel. I'm curious though, when did ESPN start running 'shows' like this and not sporting events and such. It may be obvious from that question, but I never really watch ESPN at all, so maybe they have been and I just didn't know.

But I'm football obsessed..so. ;D But anyway, I read the same thing about the NFL criticizing how the players & coaches were portrayed. I'm a fan, but I know that not all the players aren't perfect. You can just read the news everyday & at least one player is in trouble for something or another. But that was one of the reasons I liked the show so much, b/c it portrayed the players/characters as not being perfect. Ok, I'll stop talking football for now b/c I'm getting way off topic. ;D And Ang, as far as I know this will be the second "show" that ESPN has come up with. Not counting the few original movies that they have done.

im guessing that if michael signed on to do this tv series, he thinks that its gonna be a success. he cant afford to do any more flops, u know.
