I love the Gin Blossoms too...haven't heard anything from them in awhile though. 'hey jealousy' & 'allison road' are two of my fave from them. I've been downloading a lot of their other songs here recently after buying the 1st CD. And I read a few articles about them, Their story is quite a tragic one, the lead guitarist and songwriter doug hopkins was kicked out of the band at one point in the mid 90's due to excessive alcoholism and personal issues, A while later he commited suicide by shooting himelf in the head. My heart stopped when I was reading that, It's just so sad, a band with that much potential .

My next Cd that will be ordered on Friday is going to be 'Songs From the Crystal Cave' by Steven Seagal. YES..the actor Steven Seagal. I have heard 3 songs off the album (one of which I have an MP3 that I am more than willing to share) and they are AMAZING! The man can sing like nobody's business! His music is very bluesy and soulfull. It's going to cost me an arm and a leg...$40 dollars US to have it shipped from France...but my friend Sharon is paying for part of it as well. It was released only in France, which is a bit frustrating...but I have no doubts that it will be worth the money spent! That song you sent me was great! I've loved him for years & never knew he could sing!! I was very impressed. When you get the cd maybe you could hook a friend up with it & send her a copy.

That was my first impression too. When Amber sent me the one song & was like 'there's NO way this is Steven Seagal'!! I was very taken aback... in a good way though.

Speaking of which lady.....you need to PM me your snail mail addy so I can send you a copy of the CD!
I will however have to email you a little goodie though....there is a song on the album called 'The Light', that made me cry the first time I heard it. It's absolutely one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard...the lyrics are just amazing.

I finally broke down and gave into my closet music love.... Norwegian Black Metal.....
I bought two CD's from Dimmu Borgir: Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, and Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia...
LOVE the stuff.....scares the crap out of most of my friends...but....hey....it's fun.
If any of you have seen 'Hellboy' a good many of the big orchestral heavy metal movements that you hear are from 'Progenies of the Great Apocalypse' by Dimmu Borgir...great song.

Have just bought 2 CD's. "The Gregoria Monks",Masters of Chant. I love there chants even the ones the Monks chant to modern songs and music. The other is World Music From Greece. Mad about Greek music. I'm starting to build my music collection up. I once had a very large music collection ,with a radiogram. Since moving into smaller place I had to down size and go for a CD player and it's costly to build up another collection. I do have a the DVD player so I got rid of the CD player,at least Mark did. The last CD I bought was Jacksonville City Nights by Ryan Adams, it was a very good listen. Very mellow honky tonk album, my favorite track is the stunningly beatufiul duet called "Dear John" that he performs with Nora Jones Now in some Gin Blossom related news, They have a new album coming out sometime in the next 2 or 3 months. Which I am super excited about. Here's a site where you can here some live samples of their songs as well as many old bootlegs, you have to register. But it's free and most of this stuff is so rare that it's not even on the file sharing programs www.ginblossomsfiles.info/default.aspSo far my personal favorites are "Come on Hard" "Someday Soon" and "End Of The World"
