Have just read an amazing book,by an American woman,Deborah Rodriguez who goes behind the veil.
It's called."Kabul Beauty School" Debbie from Michigan went to Afganistan to transform her own life and ended up revolutionizing the lives of many of her Afghan sisters.
I couldn't leave the book alone,it is a wonderful read.

I like reading a collection of stories. Just finished reading, another true story called,"My Lobotomy"by Howard Dully born in Oakland's California. What an awful story of a young boy of 12 given a lobotomy because his stepmother lied about his behavior so as she could have complete control over him. It didn't work so Howard was placed in a Mental Institute. Quiet sad and a waste of a life until he was in his forties.

Just finished reading the story how Boot's the chemist got started. Abit dry but interesting to think it started out with the making of herbal medicine. Do you have Boot's the chemist in America?

Nope, I never heard of that one. But that doesn't mean it's not here. I'm currently reading the latest book in John Sandford's Prey series, a crime thriller. Love his stuff!
